10 Fun Facts about The Speech Ninja!

Here are 10 Fun Facts all about me!

1. During the regular school year I work with students from grades K-12 in Regular Education, Supplemental/Itinerant Learning Support, Emotional Support, Autistic Support, and Life Skills classrooms. 👩🏻‍🏫

2. I worked for 3 years as an SLP in a Skilled Nursing Facility before transferring to the school. During college I worked as a PCA in an Assisted Living Facility, a classroom aid during ESY, and a waitress (all at the same time). 💆🏻‍♀️

3. I will be celebrating my 18th wedding anniversary this summer and I dated my husband for 8 years before that so I have been with him for more than half of my life. 💑

4. Prior to COVID, I was a brown belt in Karate. 🥋

5. I was born with a cleft palate (soft palate only) and I did receive speech therapy but I was dismissed by the time I was 3 so I don’t remember it at all. 🏨

6. I have a dog named Chaos and it is the perfect name for her! 🐾

7. I enjoy traveling with my family. So far I have visited Cancun, Bermuda, Punta Cana, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Austria and I can't wait to add more places to my list! 🚢

8. I secretly dream about competing on American Ninja Warrior but I have no balance and I can’t even make it across a set of monkey bars at the playground. 🙈

9. I’m a chocoholic. 🍫

10. My brand name (The Speech Ninja) is a reflection of three things I enjoy: Speech Therapy, Karate, and American Ninja Warrior. 👩🏻‍💻
